Steve Kay – Scientific Director
Steve is a trained econometrician (MSc Manchester University) who switched over to HEOR analysis and modelling 20 years ago. In that time, he has worked entirely in the consultancy sector building up analysis teams and capabilities for Adelphi and McCann Complete Medical Group, before setting up Model Outcomes in 2013. He has worked across client teams on many diverse projects having experience in all the services Model Outcomes offers.
As an econometrician, Steve was employed by Salford University Business Services to forecast GDP for the UK and its regions. He also has a publication in Experimental Game Theory.
Steve loves learning and follows developments in many fields including outside of HEOR, including machine learning, operations research and behavioural economics. He is a member of Statisticians in the Pharmaceutical Industry, PSI.
Janet Kay – Quality Assurance Director
Janet is a RGN registered nurse with over 20 years’ experience of working in clinical trials, phases 1, 2, and 3. Her most recent position prior to joining Model Outcomes was Research Sister in Rheumatology at the Countess of Chester Hospital. On behalf of the National Institute for Health Research, NIHR, she regularly lectured on Good Clinical Practice.
She assists with relevant clinical knowledge and manages the day-to-day running of the office.
